The Business Analyst reports to the General Manager of Southern Wine & Spirits of Oregon and is responsible for creating and providing value added reports and analysis to help drive profitable growth and attainment of financial goals.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Analyze wine sales numbers, sales programs, and business trends that influence business decisions, drives profitable growth, and goal achievement for each territory consistent with supplier and company goals.
Partner with leadership and suppliers to identify opportunities, business issues, and risks that may have an impact on the growth of business.
Analyze current operational procedures and evaluate reporting methods and procedures that improve report content and completeness of information.
Stay current on products and market offers; drive innovation and change to improve reporting.
Analyze major marketing promotions to determine level of execution and incremental sales.
Demonstrate the ability to proactively evaluate existing strategies, formulate trackers and scorecards for all initiatives.
Make recommendations based on data analyzed, summarize it and present it to the executive team.
Create and upkeep inventory reports as they pertain to sales programs and innovation and forecasts.
Perform price change impact and forecast incentive tracking and post program analysis.
Provide analysis for ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior distribution, sales, and/or familiarity with wine and/or spirits industry preferred.
Strong Analytical skills and proven problem-solving ability.
Strong computer skills required; expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all organizational levels to include managers, leadership, and suppliers.
Prior experience with Sharepoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
