THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: MySQL Application Database Administrator
Works collaboratively with developers to implement data models and database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes. Must have hands-on experience with best-practice database planning, design and modeling for new, enterprise-level applications.
Responsible for the logical and physical database design
Design and development of database creation and upgrade scripts
Develop and tune SQL code
Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
Deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping
Knowledgeable in the Setup, Configuration, Tuning, and Database Replication for MySQL
MySQL configuration, load balancing, failover and caching technologies
MySQL replication and clustering technologies
MySQL data architecture, server monitoring, and performance optimization
Ability to articulate, influence, and enforce best practices.

BACKGROUND PROFILE: MySQL Application Database Administrator
Experienced with MySQL 5.5 and above, Percona preferred
Extensive experience in database design and modeling.
Experience working with large MySQL database including indexing, performance tuning, query optimization, replication, and clustering.
Excellent and proven interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving skills, technical analysis expertise
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems, including data integrity, blocking and deadlocking, replication and logging.
Knowledge of Java based development tools and languages a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
