The primary function of this position is to deliver high quality service to our members. This includes identifying members' needs and offering Meritrust products and services.
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Able to perform all Teller I, Teller II, MSA I, II duties and responsibilities (see job descriptions) plus the following:
Actively sells and cross-sells Credit Union products and services through face to face and phone contact within the guidelines of the established production program. Role plays this process with less experienced employees.
Meets set goals for cross sales, product penetration, services per household, ancillary products, investment services, and any other sales and service goals and objectives.
Stays focused and remains positive while juggling multiple demands and shifting priorities.
Takes ownership of own actions and willingly changes course if necessary; owns up to mistakes.
Works with minimum direction or feedback from supervisors.
Match a competitor's CD rate. Follow policy guidelines for authority level.
Authorizes automobile title lien releases
Authorizes high dollar checks presented by members
Approves Payment/Due Date Adjustment agreements on consumer loans
Processes payment reversals/corrections on consumer loans
Reviews and approves loan Extension Agreements
Assists in training new and lesser skilled employees
Processes Home Equity loan applications.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Completion of annual Meritrust education and development program
Sales experience of 2 years or more preferred
Previous financial institution experience of 3 years or more preferred, including cash handling and member service. Knowledge of principles and practices of a financial institution
Excellent oral communication skills
Ability to operate applicable PC programs necessary for job function
High School diploma or equivalent
Six months in MSA II position recommendedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
