The Billing Center Director works independently with oversight from the Vice President Revenue Cycle. This highly visible role requires a strong leader who has the ability to prioritize, plan, direct and motivate the department to drive strong financial results while adhering to the annual billing budget. The Director is responsible for the input and maintenance of client contracts, billing and collections, accounts receivable, internal/external customer service and credit balance processing.
_TASKS AND
Responsibilities:_
Assure Company billing compliance initiatives are deployed and maintained per Company policy.
Directly accountable for the management and collection performance of the billing office.
Oversee and streamline the billing and collection process to maximize cash collections per unit.
Motivate, coach and develop direct and indirect reports.
Conduct staff meetings to ensure proper levels of communication are maintained.
Strive to develop and maintain a productive working relationship with all internal customers.
Host calls with Regional General Managers (RGMs) to review accounts receivable and coordinate next collection steps on past due accounts.
Maintain customer satisfaction through timely courteous accurate responses to clients, payers and patient.esponsible party billing inquiries.
Ensure that billing center meets month-end close requirements as defined by the Finance Department.
Communicate financial performance to management via required monthly reporting.
Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes.
Assist with internal and external audit function as required.
Complete performance evaluations and conduct disciplinary action when needed.
_SKILLS-
Experience:_
B.S. Degree Finance, Accounting or Healthcare preferred.
Minimum ten years or more healthcare management experience.
Stellar oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to interface with staff and customers at various levels of knowledge and skill sets.
Results oriented.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Knowledge of computer software systems for collection of data, reporting mechanisms and communications.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
