Responsible for all store bookkeeping. Duties include: customer service; control of store cash, credit card and check inventories; checking and posting shift reports; completing bank deposits; accurate completion of store paperwork; ordering office supplies; processing invoices; posting shift analysis; stocking items; cleaning restrooms and general cleaning duties; policing the store; verifying time cards and transmitting payroll; cash register operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Customer service to include handling and screening of telephone calls.
2. Effectively prioritize, organize, and follow-up on office tasks to be accomplished.
3. Security of all store assets. Control of store cash fund, fuel and inventories, auditing of shift reports.
4. Complete transactions for accounts receivables, i.e. counting money, completing deposit slips, banking, closeout, etc.
5. Accurate and effective completion of all store paper work: store daily report, store daily purchases, mark-ups/mark-downs, inventory adjustments.
6. Receive merchandize using proper vendor and inventory controls.
7. Order office supplies to maintain an effective stock level.
8. Process store invoices to include auditing cost and retail price.
9. Make computer entries and record sales and purchases in the store's running book. Balance store records to office reports.
10. Post shift statistics to shift analysis.
11. Verify time cards for payroll.
12. Enter purchases into computer.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Additional experience should be in the area of accounting and bookkeeping.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
