EMR is seeking experienced part-time/full-time environmental heavy equipment operators, field technicians, and environmental construction laborers to support our growth in the performance and support of upcoming temporary projects in our Overland Park, Kansas office and throughout the US. The qualified candidate(s) must have a record of working safely and responsibly within a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Heavy equipment operator, field technician and environmental construction laborer positions report directly to the site supervisor/site superintendent and are responsible for completing daily field service activities in a safe and compliant manner. The qualified personnel that we seek for this position must have a high school diploma or GED, be prompt and on-time for assignments, at least two years of trade/construction experience, at least two to five years of experience in the environmental remediation and environmental construction industry.
All of these positions require personnel to work in all temperature and weather conditions; with exposure the elements, noise, odors, dust and mist. Must be able to meet the requirements of respirator fit testing, wear a respirator and other necessary PPE as job duties require. Must be willing to work in and on environmentally/chemically impacted areas, be able to prepare necessary supplies, tools and other equipment for transport to worksite. Must be willing and able to clean and scrape the inside of and assist with removal of underground chemical/petroleum storage tanks. Qualified persons must be willing and able to provide labor for demolition of contaminated buildings and land sites; operate small hand tools, heavy equipment and provide other construction type labor on projects; decontaminate company equipment and tools. Personnel may be involved in the loading, unloading and sampling of drums. The qualified candidate(s) must be prepared to perform the work required (cleaning, moderate to heavy lifting, remediation, etc.); must be available to work varied hours and travel on short notice, including on-call assignments and emergency response; able to communicate effectively both orally and written; good time management skills; mechanically inclined; optimistic; hard-working; able to learn on the job and follow through on instructions; appropriate professional dress, communication, and behavior are all required for this position. EMR personnel may be required to respond to environmental emergencies for our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. The ideal candidate(s) for these positions should be willing and able to work on call to meet customer demands. Approximately 50 to 75% average travel required.

Valid drivers license with a good motor vehicle record
Commercial Drivers License is a plus

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training-29 CFR 1926 is a plus
OSHA Excavation and Trench Safety Training29 CFR 1926, Subpart P is a plus
OSHA Confined Space Entry Training-29 CFR 1910.146 is a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
