Responsibilities
Assist the department manager in teaching and coaching employees to deliver outstanding customer service
Help the department manager execute a business plan to achieve department service and volume goals
Teach team to act as fashion and product knowledge experts for the customer
Collaborate with the department manager to ensure the customer receives the best quality, value and selection of merchandise
Work with the department manager to ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
Maintain regular floor presence
Assist the department manager in ensuring accurate inventory management and achieve shrinkage goals
Qualifications
Track record of successful results, for example leader in customer service, strong productivity, etc.
Support of current manager required
Positive evaluation on recent performance reviews
Ability to develop a team of All Stars, Future Nordstrom Leaders, etc.
Ability to use key metrics, such as hot sellers, top vendors, etc., to identify opportunities and drive volume
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with store partners
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, delegation and follow-through skills
Full-line store selling experience, preferred
FNL or Internship graduate a plus
Relocation assistance is dependent upon volume responsibility and/or potential of qualified local candidates.
