POSITION
Summary:
Perform secretarial duties and record keeping functions related to the Pathology department including computer entry, typing, transcription, filing, coding, generating reports, telephone answering and general office work.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Transcribes pathology dictation (gross and microscopic) and processes pathology, autopsy and bone marrow reports including the researching and processing of data and computer entry, distribution, and filing of the same utilizing the pathology computer information system.
Processes non-routine reports such as outside consultations generated by pathologists.
Retrieves, processes and sends out slides, paraffin blocks, reports, tissue, etc. as requested by pathologists, physicians, other institutions, etc.
Maintains log and correspondence file on blocks, reports, tissue, etc. sent
Documents frozen sections, cytology/tissue correlations, outside consultations and intradepartmental consultations as part of the Pathology department s Quality Assurance program
Prepares reports, slides, and agenda requested by the Pathologists for review at tumor board conferences.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience required. A minimum of two years related experience including medical terminology and transcription experience preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
