The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Scope of Position:
The Controls and Compliance Leader will lead Corning Information Technologys (IT) internal audits in accordance with regulatory, legal, international standard, and business requirements. This person will provide leadership for the implementation, maintenance, and effectiveness of the internal and external Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and ISO audits and ensure compliance is maintained. This role will play an integral part in promoting the IT audit strategy, vision, and objectives across the global IT organization.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Develop, lead, and manage the delivery of IT global internal process, project, and ISO audits.
Coordinate and support the internal/external Sarbanes-Oxley and external ISO audit processes.
Provide guidance, leadership, and support on internal and external audit matters across the global IT function.
Educate the global IT organization on Sarbanes-Oxley and IT General Controls requirements.
Partner with Corning businesses and functions for implementation and maintenance of IT General Controls throughout Corning Incorporated.
Provide current Sarbanes-Oxley status and information as requested; contribute to or prepare reports for senior management.
Lead the effort to continuously assess and improve internal controls; identify opportunities to prevent or mitigate control deficiencies and drive change through improved processes and efficiencies.
Lead and develop the IT Internal Audit Team; maintain, improve, and communicate the IT Internal Audit process and procedures.
Ensure the quality of audit reports and other audit deliverables. Ensure audit practices are consistent with established professional standards, company policies and procedures, and department objectives.
Lead or participate in IT compliance-related projects.
Travel Requirements: 30-50% travel (including international)
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 8:00am-5:00pm typical - plus off hour meetings due to time zone difference
Required Education: Bachelors (4 year) degree in business, finance, IT, or related fields of expertise
Required Years and Area of
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years IT audit experience at nationally recognized accounting firm and/or Fortune 500 company IT internal audit department
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of internal control concepts and principles, including COSO and COBIT frameworks and SSAE16
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certified
Desired Skills:
Two (2) years experience in a management role
Three (3) years experience in leading, planning, and executing IT general controls audits for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Experience with Managed Service providers and SSAE16 reports
Good understanding of Cornings IT environment or IT industry
ITIL and ISO 20000 Certification experience
CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
