Electrical Engineer
As a member of a multi-disciplined engineering team, this resource will function in a hands-on role providing technical skills on multiple projects. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of experience in industrial engineering project execution. BSEE or related degree is required.
Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel, Project, electronic mail, and database mgmt.
Capable of using Computer Aided Design software in current common use and versions (e.g. AutoCAD).
Capable of establishing design requirements through field/site audits and studies, reviewing and markup of existing system documentation and creation of new project scope documents.
Capable of utilizing design requirements for the purpose of estimating project effort.
Capable of managing projects including schedules and budgets, accurately tracking and recording spending on various project tasks, supervising supporting engineers, designers, CAD operators, and providing training support;, will give technical direction to construction trades, supervisors and maintenance technicians.
Capable of producing specifications & notations in development of technical document packages for estimating, construction, and installation.
Proficient in design and analysis of electric power systems up to high voltage.
Proficient in analyzing and classifying hazardous (classified) areas per NFPA.
Proficient in application of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), applied knowledge of NFPA 70E and UL-508.
Proficient in the design of analog and digital control systems and instrumentation.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS) and similar processors along with associated HMI interfaces and plus.
Proficient in specifying instrumentation, sensors, analyzers, control components, power distribution components, motor control centers, cable tray, wireway, conduit, cable, and wire.
Applied knowledge of power and control system drawing types including P&IDs, Loop Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Conduit Layouts, Elementary & Connection Schematics, and Panel/Enclosure Layouts.
Proficient in developing, managing and executing pre-startup inspection plans (PSI) and startup plans for large projects.
Some field work is required. It could involve climbing ladders, climbing onto platforms, crawling around in machinery and walking for extended periods of time.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
