Our Job Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Operations Manager I to join our team in Westlake, TX.
Manage the day-to-day operations of a department or segment of the business units operations in non-manufacturing environements in compliance with policies and procedures. Develop, interpret and implement policies and procedures for the department/business unit. Ensure employee conformance to established practices and proper training of staff. Prepare related reports and audit current procedures to monitor efficiency of operations. Instill the notion within all employees at all levels of the organization that the business units primary goal is to provide the highest quality service possible to all of our customers.
Job Duties:
- Manage the operating activities of an assigned department or segment. Ensure that assigned area is profitable.
- Responsible for adherence to operating budget guidelines regarding all expenses.
- Manage a team responsible for a department/segment. Coach, train and mentor direct reports, provide opportunities for employee development. Has performance management responsibilities communicating group goals and objectives with staff to ensure that team goals and objectives are met. Delegate assignments to subordinate supervisors/staff. Assure that all employees within area of responsibility are working towards a common goal.
- Participate in the decision process regarding capital expenditures and asset redeployment activities
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Five to seven years of directly related experience.
- Solid administrative skills; management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Planning, analytical and negotiating skills
- Participative management style to advocate team concepts
- Must be able to establish credibility and be decisive, coupled with the ability to recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities
