AIG is seeking an I.T. Auditor for Investments in our Wilton, CT office. The right individual will execute multiple integrated, application and pre-implementation audits with critically analyzing, examining, and evaluating internal controls and risks of technology processes and systems supporting the trading, financial, operational, and risk management functions. This person will maintain relationships with Financial and Operations auditor and participates on business process examinations by evaluating the application controls.
Responsibilities:
Maintain partnerships and interacts with firm personnel in areas such as trading desk, middle office and back office operations, compliance and technology areas.
Performs tests for compliance of internal controls within information technology.
Work in a team environment, with opportunities to supervise and coach staff and associate auditors, including reviewing of work papers.
Prepare detailed written reports to provide clients on concerns identified during the audit and partner with clients to take corrective actions.
Serve as a partner and counselor to all members of the team; regularly express a point-of-view; challenge and provide advice about risk and control considerations with a constructive and respected style. B.A. / B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance is required. PMP, CISA, and/or a CPA certification is preferred.
6 or more years of audit of experience. Previous experience in audits of financial products (e.g., Asset Management and Global Capital Markets) and Risk Management is preferred.
Experience in auditing large and complex business and technology process is required with strong audit and technology background with
Manage relationships and communication with business partners, internal audit personnel, and external auditors.
Ability to judge situations and people based on facts; make risk/reward trade offs; consider costs and benefits when evaluating situations.
Skilled in coordinating the scope and approach
with financial/operational counterparts and incorporate business controls as part of reviews.
Work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
Ability to raise and negotiate tough issues directly with clients and with a clear point-of-view.
Comfortable as part of a global management team with a focus on a high level of communication, coordination, and consistency.
Consistently enhance the department's contributions by developing innovative approaches and solutions to address client issues.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential. Make presentations in a clear and concise manner to senior audiences.
Consistently execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
Possess working knowledge of various technologies, applications, operating systems, databases, end user computing, and networks, including programming languages.
Position can be located in Wilton CT or New York NY. Traveling to clients for meetings and relationship management is required.
