As our Basketball Elite Youth Manager, you'll create the stage for identifying and bonding with the best young basketball players in the U.S. through Elite Youth (EY) asset enhancement. You'll lead in the contribution of innovative value and its execution at NIKE basketball elite sponsored functions (i.e. events, camps, all star games, travel teams) used to scout basketball talent. You'll seek and develop new opportunities with all our travel teams and their processes within their business. You'll also create relationships with summer basketball coaches, scouts and other influencers. You'll manage the process of creating opportunities within the NIKE Basketball Brand through the collection of inter-department (brand, advertising, retail) strategies to provide one consistent message to our consumer. You'll assist in NIKE's involvement with Hoop Summit, Global Challenge, and Elite Camps. Direct all operations for the Elite Youth Basketball League(EYBL), Elite 100, Jordan Brand Classic and youth events including managing travel, budget, product creation and delivery, and event follow-up. Moreover, you'll actively participate in department planning, procedures and objectives. Build upon current EY success and continue create new opportunities for events. You'll develop appropriate relationships with event management and work closely with the department to make sure NIKE's image is held at highest regard. You'll analyze and update regularly our scouting methods including travel, budgets by continually judging the value of teams, events and scouts so as to keep NIKE current and relevant. You'll participate in operational planning and development of tools for the basketball talent identification process. You'll aid in the transition of the best young players to be delivered to pro basketball. You'll manage the operational/process components. You'll also understand total resource allocation; forecast spending and take ownership of budgets. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Basketball operations, marketing, event planning
- Experience in team management
- Have an eye for basketball talent
- Have extensive contact with coaches, scouts, players, and industry influencers in the basketball industry
- Ability to identify key opportunities within the Grassroots basketball business to propel NIKE forward
- Expertise in SAP preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
