An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist with the daily auditing, processing and recording of revenue and expenses in order to ensure that all work is coordinated properly with subordinates and completed on a timely basis.
Ensures that all monthly, quarterly and annual entries and reports are accurate and balanced. Investigates any problems or discrepancies. Day to day direct coordination of the following audits: food, beverage, retail, hotel, and all other non-gaming income areas.
Develop and maintain current audit procedures and audit programs and makes recommendations for improvements.
Ensure that daily audit of information is accurate, timely and in compliance with all regulations and company policies.
Anticipates ongoing changes, problems and opportunities in order to maintain effective systems and procedures.
Represent functional area with department guests to resolve problems and obtain information.
Must provide courteous and friendly service to all staff.
Perform related work as requested.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:

Experience: 2 years of business or accounting experience preferably in a hotel environment.
EDUCATION : High School Diploma or GED and some college level courses.
SKILLS: Ability to organize and maintain filing system. Ability to type 35 wpm. Skill in English grammar and spelling. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Full knowledge and understanding of Company and departmental rules, policies and procedures. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Ability to perform basic math. Understanding of income-control functions. Knowledge of regulatory requirements helpful. Effective communication skills. Proficiency with personal computers and spreadsheet software needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
