About the Position:

You will serve as Security Guard and perform the following duties:
Perform access control and patrol duties on a military installation
Perform security guard duties in accordance with appropriate regulations to detect and prevent theft, damage, accident, trespass, sabotage and espionage and to enforce the security regulations of the installation
Verify identification through use of identification cards, badges, automated records, vehicle decals, verbal questioning, and other means
Maintain radio logs and prepare and submit daily blotter reports
Admit persons, deny entry or arrange for escorts, as appropriate.
Conduct vehicle searches/inspections (to include cargo areas, engine compartments and undercarriages), in accordance with standing operating procedures
Confiscate unauthorized items in accordance with security guard regulations
Patrol the building to investigate alarms, complaints, irregularities, and unusual or suspicious circumstances
Patrol the premises for unusual of suspicious activity
Maintain and evaluate traffic and pedestrians during emergency and accident situations according to security guard standing operating procedures

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Detection and prevention of theft, damage, and/or trespassing, performing vehicle searches, confiscating unauthorized items, directing traffic flow, verifying identification and controlling access to premises
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Ability to Control Access to Installation
Ability to Patrol Access to Installation

Ability to Detect and Detain Violators
Ability to Divert Traffic During Accidents/Emergency

This position is Mission Essential and is required to report to work in inclement weather even when the Government is closed and is subject to emergency recall.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
