Position Description
The IMU Separately Managed Account (SMA) Product team is responsible for the development, support, and distribution of investment products and services used to support SEI's Multi-Manager SMA program. The SMA program is distributed through the Advisor, Bank, and Institutional market units. The ideal candidate will possess project management experience; an understanding of capital markets and investment strategies; and familiarity with investment operational processes and controls.
The initial focus of the position will be on the support of the existing SMA program and the development of the IMU's overlay portfolio management capabilities.
Core responsibilities include:
Implement new accounts and investment guidelines
Implement client specific constraints & guidelines
Facilitate daily management of accounts: invest/raise cash, harvest losses, monitor tax budget, police wash sales
Coordinate account rebalancing, model updates, trade generation and trade execution
Transition securities into or out of the client accounts
Manage and control portfolio risks / tracking error
Monitor model drift and performance dispersion of accounts
Assist in continued development and design of the IMU's overlay portfolio management processes
Develop a complete understanding of the SMA platform's value propositions, functionality and features and be able to communicate these benefits to internal and external parties
Assist on departmental projects as requested
Position Requirements
B.S./B.A. in finance preferred
Minimum of 1 year industry experience
Broad understanding of financial markets and related investment instruments
Excellent organizational and advanced problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills / team player
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Access)
Ability to develop and maintain processes and procedures for oversight of program
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
