Job Description
This position assists with the supervision of the maintenance and operation of the Laramie River Station (LRS) instrumentation and control systems to ensure continuous generation at the plant.
This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems. This position may allow access to privileged information relating to such assets or systems. This position will be required to strictly adhere to all Basin Electric policies, procedures, and programs applicable to the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements.
Required Skills
This position requires frequent sitting and walking; occasional standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching above and below shoulder level, crawling, and use of keyboard/computer. Requires the ability to speak, analyze data/reports, conduct research, implement recommendations, and direct and supervise others. Must be able to develop plans and accomplish goals, evaluate the performance of others, present information to others, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Occasionally works around dirt and dust, fumes, and chemicals. This position must be respirator qualified. Also occasionally works in areas of extreme heat, cold, vibration and noise, poor ventilation, electrical risks, confined areas, and at heights.
Required Experience
Required:High School diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and seven years of electric utility industry experience in the Instrument & Control field. Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook are required. Must have the ability to supervise employees.
