Our client is seeking a developer to help migrate from Unisys to Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 application conversion. The work will be to take requirements defined by the application development and business team and write stored procedures, create views, reports, migrate data, optimize database and create C# code to replace the applications that currently reside on the Unisys mainframe (VB front-end).
This is a 6 month contract in Arvada, CO. Some remote work is acceptable. Salary Range is $60K to $75K DOE

Programmer Analyst Job Description

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support programs for Fish and Wildlife Agency applications currently being re-written in ASP .Net, MVC 4.
Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Prepares, or receives from systems analyst detailed workflow documents to illustrate sequence of steps that program must follow and to describe input, output, and logical operations involved.
Confers with supervisor and representatives of departments concerned with program to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
Converts detailed logical flow chart to C#, MVC 3 and 4, and ASP .Net language.
Candidate uses Microsoft Team Foundation Server to manage user requirements, project time estimates and communication with the application development team.
May correct program errors using methods such as modifying program or altering sequence of program steps. Will write instructions to guide operating personnel during production runs.
Compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.
May assist computer operator to resolve problems in running computer programs.
