Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and ability to apply internal policies and procedures to the solicitation, issuance and close-out of purchase orders, with a primary focus on Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) and Spares procurement.
Apply sound procurement principles.
Review requirements documents (i.e., statement of work, drawings and specifications) for clarity and adequacy, and obtain necessary revisions from the program office/engineering team.
Identify potential resources for required materials, equipment, supplies and services, and develop and issue request for quotes. Respond to supplier inquiries and coordinates source selection decisions with other company activities.
Assists the Manager of Procurement by training more junior buyers. May be requested to identify process improvement opportunities.
Required Skills and Education
Must have 5 years related work experience.
Able to demonstrate firm grasp of FAR and DFARS
Able to review procurement packages for compliance against internal policies, FAR and DFARS
Strong cross-functional leadership skills
Experience creating price and cost analysis
Experience negotiating major purchases
Experience working in a team environment
Preferred Skills and Education
Experience in a procurement compliance role
Experience in procurement with a focus on O&M, MRO or Spares
Post Graduate Degree, preferably in Engineering, Business Management, Acquisition or another related field

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
