Applications Engineer
Responsibilities
Establish quote request log.
Interface with sales engineers, customers, and other resources to define a proposed project solution.
Conduct research on design. Develop quote and estimate including financial estimates.
Develop concept drawings as part of proposal.
Recommend procedural changes, and design or equipment changes where necessary.
Provide project team with information needed execute project.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes (i.e. NEC, NFPA, ANSI, RIA, etc.).
Familiarity with PLC code.
Background with electrical sub-panels, panel testing, machine start-up, hardware debug, and panel installation.
Requirements
AAS degree.
Five-plus years' of experience in control systems or electrical engineering design.
Requires engineering knowledge to make judgments involving complex electromechanical systems.
Solid mathematical skills for calculating costs/estimates.
Knowledge of common controls, computer architecture, and networking.
Familiarity with robots and operating systems preferred.
Strong communicator.
This is a direct hire position
Wage $80/k +/- depending on experience
