Assistant General Manager - Northern NJ

Our client is a leading provider of rental solutions for the exhibit and events industry. They are seeking an Assistant General Manager to work with the General Manager to ensure the district's market competitiveness and organizational operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the day-to-day functions of the business, profitability and margin
Translate the corporate vision and strategy into a local business strategy tailored to meet local market conditions
Oversee continuous improvement efforts required to expand our core business areas and grow profitability.
This position will oversee warehouse operating processes and procedures to ensure efficiency
Interview, hire, and train staff
Evaluate performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Establish a team environment for problem-solving and responding to customer needs
Build strong relationships with clients
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or MBA preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 to 5 years of work experience and/or training in a corporate setting, preferably in trade show, audio visual, or other roles that include interacting with high level customers.
Must be a results-driven, self-starter who is disciplined by their concern for accuracy and quality
Must be an complete team-building leader, with a track record of success in achieving results, and customer satisfaction.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in outside sales, logistics or general management.
Successful track record in developing direct reports and achieving results though others.
P&L responsibility/expertise for multi-million dollar revenue producing business with a focus on top line revenue growth.
Experience in sales management or co-management of an outside sales team a plus.
Will relocate to permanent assignment when the opportunity arises.
NOTE: Ideal candidates include: An Operations Manager (or Warehouse Manager) with an Exhibit Designer and Producer, Operations Manager (Warehouse/Inventory Manager) with an Audio Visual firm or retail rental companies like Aarons or Rent-a-Center.
Location: Secaucus, NJ
Salary: $65 to $70K (Plus bonus)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
