Summary of Job: The 2nd Shift Supervisor will be responsible for directing the daily work for the department, managing the productivity of staff assigned, oversee procedures to improve productivity of staff and eliminate errors, coordinate activities with other departments.
Responsibilities
:
Direct the daily work in the department
Supervise assigned staff of up to 30 associates
Train members of team with help of lead (if applicable)
Work with members of management and employees on a formal and informal basis to identify, prepare and implement changes to procedures, and work practices
Participate in any corrective action for assigned staff.
Requirements
:
Experience in distribution center environment preferred, but not required.
Basic computer skills
Must possess good attendance and performance record.
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to stand for 8 hours
Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions which call for multiple different actions based upon the assigned application
