Under general supervision, ensure that preparation functions on remitted client transactions are processed according to defined instructions.
Supervise - No direct reports
Daytime shift: Monday Thru Friday 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Major
Responsibilities:
Mailroom (15%)
Perform all mailroom functions necessary for preparing the incoming and outgoing mail for the unit.
Prepare and maintain processing deadlines, various logs and statistical mail reports.
Deposit Preparation (75%)
Perform mail extraction manually or using automated extraction equipment of assigned customer mail received
Perform negotiability review
Prepare batch or deposit for system input in accordance to client instructions and established processing controls.
Key information from check or remittance documents (10-key)
Additional Information:
This is a production environment and will require flexibility and additional non scheduled hours to include working holidays.
Skills required:
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
Ability to use mail extraction or other office equipment
Ability to meet and maintain established performance and production standards under strict- time constraints
Must possess good verbal and communication skills and write legibly
Must possess Good math, reading, and comprehension skills
Basic understanding of PC software and applications
Strong interpersonal and organizational skill

One to two years of banking operations or production experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
