L.L.Bean is looking for a Senior Photo Art Director with significant experience in on-location and on-site studio photography to join our Creative team. This position is fulltime, and located in our Corporate office in Freeport, Maine .
Oversee location and studio fashion photography for /Signature/ a premium line of classic apparel for Women and Men
Works with a solid understanding of the L.L.Bean aesthetic
Evolves and advances photography assets while aligning with the L.L.Bean brand direction
Responsible for leading photo planning of assigned projects, photo execution, art direction and editing. Accountable from concept to completion.
Partners with stylists to ensure concepts and brand vision are compelling
Oversee fashion and still life photography for e-commerce
Direct and manage talent for photo shoots (Hair & Make-up Artists,
Photographers, Models and stylists)
Manage and facilitate post production of shoots
Partner daily with creative key stake holders, merchandising teams and senior leadership, using expertise in visual communication and problem solving
Mentor/lead other art directors, providing examples, coaching and guidance
Effectively work within and maintain budgets
Health and Safety Requirement: Ensures compliance with the L.L.Bean comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Takes immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions. Ensures compliance of front line employees with comprehensive Health and Safety program
Solid creative experience, with expertise in photo art direction (emphasis onHigh-End Fashion - lifestyle photography and Web studio on-figure) for both catalogue and digital spaces
Digital portfolio demonstrating extensive photo art direction experience.
Apply expert aesthetic eye to convey brand, strategy
Solid understanding of creative software and systems (InDesign, Photoshop,
Capture One Pro, Global Edit and Illustrator)
High quality standards
Highly organized and detailed oriented
Great team player with strong project management skills
Ability to incorporate customer research and business strategy into creative
solutions
Education Level: BA/BS or equivalent
Experience Level: 5 to 7 years
