As a Supply Technician (OA), you will be responsible for the following duties:
Conduct extensive searches on inventory accounting and reconstructs records when necessary.
Provide supply support for inventory management for rejected and defective materials.
Maintain and reconcile material in transit accounts.
Screen, modify and correct job material lists when needed.
Serve as an inventory manager for various types of non-nuclear and special type material managed locally.
Develop immediate and long-range material support requirements for customer shops and codes.
Determine range of items and stock levels necessary to support programs.
To qualify for a Supply Technician (OA), your resume must support:
A. Applicants for this position must be a qualified typist at a minimum of 40 words per minute. Failure to certify a typing speed at a minimum of 40 words per minute will result in you being found not qualified for this position.
AND
B. Applicants must demonstrate in their resume at least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must be equivalent to the next lower grade level for which applying or equivalent to the next lower grade level under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.
1. At the GS-05 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level. Examples of creditable experience are:
Perform reviews and identify inventory discrepancies.
Ensure the accuracy of a variety of supply documents.
Maintain an automated supply/inventory information system.
2. At the GS-05 level, applicants may substitute education for the required specialized experience as follows: Possess at least four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the prerequisite and the course work must demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work. Creditable education must be from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. If using your education to substitute for specialized experience, you MUST submit an official certified copy of your college transcript(s) by the closing date of the announcement to receive credit.
3. Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the GS-05 grade level and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required and then adding the two percentages together. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant at the GS-05 level.
4. At the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level. Examples of creditable experience are:
Perform extensive searches of vendor catalogs or other data sources to locate sources of supply.
Receive and coordinate requirements with requestor for adequacy and purchase description to determine acceptability of items.
Prepare recurring and special reports and complies statistics of inventory.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
