Hours vary between 9a-5:30p, every 5th weekend, 2-3 holidays per year
General
Summary: Working under the general supervision of the Distribution Manager and the Coordinator-Material Management and in accordance with established procedures, schedules, restocks department par-levels, and performs weekly orders for stock and non-stock items.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Conducts department inventories according to established par-levels. Resupplies all inventories up to the established levels by filling from in-house stores inventory or by JIT from vendors. Rotates items in department inventories while restocking shelves, etc. Is responsible for the ongoing updating of the par-level forms to assure that the units will not run out of supplies. Is responsible for PYXIS restocking as required.
2. Fills other department orders as needed or as scheduled. Fills all urgent requests in a timely manner. Notifies the Coordinator of items that are out of stock. Answers and responds to telephone inquiries, referring unresolved requests/problems to supervisor on duty.
3. Delivers other stock or non-stock items to the using departments and obtains all appropriate signatures for all deliveries. Maintains a clean and orderly work area at all times.
4. Fills in for the Receiver as required and places orders with vendors as needed for JIT par levels and department orders. Cross-trains to drive stores truck or forklift in the absence of Receiver/Shipper/Driver as required.
5. Maintains all necessary records and files either manually or with the use of the computer. Participates in physical inventories and other duties.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and accurately count.
2. One to three months of experience.
3. CDL Medical Card required when driving store's trucks.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Lifting, pushing and pulling dollies and/or supplies, along with the operation of equipment in confined spaces.
2. Occasional exposure to inclement weather when loading/unloading truck.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
