Engineering Manager

An industry leading automotive supplier is actively searching for a Senior Engineering Manager to add to their team. This person will plan, direct, and manage the Manufacturing Engineering function on a company wide basis and report directly to the VP of Engineering. A qualified candidate will rely on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs tasks that are varied and very complex in nature, and that require a wide extensive degree of evaluation, creativity, latitude, and independent judgment.
Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager
Develops and manages corporate standards for tooling, equipment, and methods of launch across all manufacturing facilities to ensure the continuous production of products consistent with customer and requirements
Ensures proper and effective representation of the Manufacturing Engineering services to support new product launch team functions
Evaluates departmental training needs on a continuous basis, and works with Corporate Training to create and implement individual and group development plans
Ensures on-time delivery of all tooling and equipment necessary to support new product launches
Requirements for the Engineering Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline (Masters is preferred)

years in manufacturing engineering
Experience in both tooling and equipment planning
Knowledge and understanding of Just In Time, Statistical Process Control, and APQP
