Job Duties: Perform highly technical testing across a suite of financial products under PayPal's Bill Me Later service. Work closely with a cross-functional team including business leaders, development engineers, scrum masters, and project managers to execute testing within an extremely fast-paced agile environment. Participate in agile scoring meetings, user story development, and test case reviews. Develop backend data-driven test cases using Groovy within soapUI and create automated test cases using BlueFin/Selenium. Collaborate with teams in various locations and time zones. Test multiple projects simultaneously against tight timelines. Utilize knowledge and experience with one or more of the major RDBMS including Oracle and DB2; SQL; executing a wide variety of UNIX commands and scripts. Work in a team environment.
Minimum Requirements: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a programmer analyst or software engineer or Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a programmer analyst or software engineer.
Special Skill Requirements: Experience must include the following: programming experience with Java or an object oriented programming language; experience with one of the major RDBMS (Oracle or DB2); understanding of SQL; Web Services; UNIX commands and Shell script. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
