is hiring an
Infrastructure Support Specialist
who can provide day-to-day technical support to employees, for desktop systems (software and hardware), Servers (Windows and Linux) and Network (Cisco switches, routers and firewalls) for our DC office in Arlington VA.
Responsibilities
Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers, telecomm and network issues in a heterogeneous environment
Troubleshooting any reported hardware/software related problems
Add/delete/create/modify user account information, reset passwords, etc.
Answer technical queries
Network hardware installation and support for switches, routers and firewalls
Install and configure new hardware/software
Perform regular backups of data using Symantec Backup Exec
Help in keeping the network up and running at all times
Perform server installs, maintenance and upgrades
Shortel VOIP setup and administration including switch maintenance
SQL Server 2005/2008 database maintenance and upgrades
Monitoring and troubleshooting of the networking infrastructure as well as related equipment
Experience working in a VMware & HyperV environment including setting up a virtual environment, taking snapshots, backup and archiving of old environments
Experience working with different vendors
Support users in remote offices
Technical Qualifications
3-5 years of proven support experience of MS Windows, Active Directory, MS Office, MS Exchange 2010, SharePoint 2013, VPN, VMware and HyperV
Experience working with AWS
Knowledge of DNS and DHCP setup
Strong Networking skills with Cisco ASA firewalls and setting up site to site VPN
Knowledge of Cisco firewall, networking monitoring tools, network bandwidth monitoring
Network certification preferred
Knowledge of Linux OS is a plus
Knowledge of SharePoint 2013 administration and configuration is a plus

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and able to work under stressful conditions.
Must be enthusiastic, communicative and eager to learn.
Must be self-motivated, have the ability to work alone as well as in a team, to strict timelines. Versatility in handling multiple projects and re-prioritizations
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Motivated individual with proven track record of on-time delivery
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
