Manages patient serving line and associated functions. Ensures accuracy of serving performance and tray distribution and/or cafeteria food service, and special functions. Upholds food sanitation standards.
1. Ensures timely and efficient meal service to patients and staff. - Completes preservice checklist. - Is knowledgeable about menu and service and responds to questions / issues appropriately. - Knows portion sizes of menu items and assures consistency in portion control. - Monitors food quality and temperature. 2. Supervises employees and assesses positive customer and employee communications. - Consistently complies with and enforces department standards of customer service. - Monitors and enforces hospital/department policies and procedures. - Handles employee problems and discipline with tact and fairness in a timely manner. - Ensures all employee disciplinary problems are handled with strict confidentiality. - Consistently keeps other supervisors/managers informed regarding daily activities that would affect other employees, supervisors or next shift. - Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule to best meet the needs of the department. 3. Maintains department policies and procedures regarding cash operation. 4. Schedules and coordinates work assignments. 5. Conducts employee evaluations and participates in training and development. 6. Performs opening and/or closing procedures. 7. Other duties as assigned.
1. High school diploma or GED required. 2. Food service management experience preferred. 3. Associate or B.S. degree preferred. 4. Membership in Dietary Managers Association preferred. 5. Three (3) years supervisor experience preferred. 6. ServSafe Certification from the NRA preferred. As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
