Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW

Supervise, train and inspect the performance of the Beach & Pool Staff, ensuring that all procedures are completed to the company's standards. Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Maintain complete knowledge of:
o daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures.
o all facilities and services.
o all equipment and services available for guests at the Beach & Pool facility.
o all safety and sanitation regulations for Beach & Pool facility.
o Proper use of respective tools, equipment and supplies in the department
Obtain contract bank and ensure accuracy of monies. Adhere to all cashiering procedures and reports in accordance with Accounting specifications.
Prepare staff assignments according to department procedures.
Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization and cleanliness. Complete requisition for additional supplies needed and submit to Manager. Instruct designated personnel to rectify any cleanliness/organization deficiencies.
Inspect the work areas for cleanliness, working condition and proper furniture/equipment set up; rectify any deficiencies with respective departments/personnel.
Ensure that staff have reported to work; document any late or absent employees.
Coordinate breaks for assigned staff.
Distribute assignments and side work to staff in accordance with departmental procedures. Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift. Identify situations which compromise the department's standards and delegate these tasks.
Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to daily business demands.
Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies.
Constantly monitor staff performance in all job functions, ensuring that all procedures are completed to department standards; rectify any deficiencies with respective personnel.
Assist Beach & Pool staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. Direct staff as required.
Observe guest reactions and confer frequently with staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Ensure all charges for rental and sale items are accurately processed.
Ensure all safety precautions are implemented and monitored.
Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff sign out.
Conduct training of staff as assigned.
Provide feedback on staff performance to manager. Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of employees.
Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering. Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.
Document pertinent information in department log book.
Complete all paperwork and closing duties.
Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor.
Secure all work areas and storerooms at closing.
Required Qualifications
Valid certification in first aid and C.P.R.
2 years experience in Pool/Beach services.
Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
Provide legible communication.
Compute basic mathematical calculations.
Knowledge of beach/pool equipment, chemicals and maintenance.Ability to:
enforce company's standards, policies and procedures with assigned staff.

direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed.
