Job Overview
Our Compounders are responsible for blending, mixing, and preparing batches in accordance to written specifications/procedures. This position reports to the Compounding Supervisor/Shift Lead.
Responsibilities:
1. Use pumps, filters and hoses in various batching & bulk product transfer operations.
2. Read scales, meters and gauges as may be needed during bulk transfer & batching operations
3. Follow W.O. & batching instructions.
4. Perform simple calculations needed during various batching steps
5. Prepare moderately complex bulk product batches of various types.
6. Clean and sanitize the tanks and related equipment after making a batch
7. Prepare empty hazardous waste drums and transport to waste drum storage area.
8. Must complete all necessary paperwork as established for the batch being processed or job being performed.
9. Undergo OSHA Haz Com Training in order to be able to read and understand MSDS's and chemical container labels.
10. Undergo GMP training and follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
11. Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
12. Know and observe all safety requirements.
13. Understand and be able to use safety equipment.
14. Operate a forklift truck as a certified driver.
15. Respond to and clean up spills and leaks.
16. Make sure all chemical containers are returned to inventory properly marked with part numbers, dates and remaining weights.
17. Know how to use small hand tools.
18. Participate in other duties as may be assigned by the department supervisor or manager.
Qualification Standards:
1. Good reading comprehension and math skills (proficiency test required)
2. Willing to be trained on all relevant SOP's within 90 days of start date
3. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
4. Previous industrial experience in compounding and chemical manufacturing environment
5. Basic understanding of how various compounding and related equipment operates.
6. Strong written and oral communication skills
7. Forklift certified, or ability to become certified
8. Successful completion of Skills Assessment administered on site within 90 days of start date
9. Good attendance is essential to job qualification.
Physical Requirements:
1. Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and roll up to 440 lbs using pallet truck & other equipment
2. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
3. Ability to work in an Industrial Environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
