This role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive delivery schedule. The Investment Operations Specialist's responsibilities revolving around IMS Operations will include all aspects of the setup and maintenance of various asset types, corporate actions processing, pricing and quality review of the various asset types for multiple asset manager clients.
The responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Ensuring all established processing procedures and controls are completed accurately and timely on a daily basis, including daily pricing procedures as well as daily trade processing
Work with external clients and internal management to coordinate and facilitate an efficient, standardized asset data servicing model
Researching and resolving client issues, and receive training in the 'client experience'
Adhering to the client specific SLAs, as outlined
Assisting with client implementations when necessary
Participating in team projects
Position Requirements
BA/BS degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or business related field; or the equivalent in education and work experience is preferred
Industry experience required
Specific expertise in corporate actions research or pricing preferred
Experience with Sungard InvestOne and Advent Geneva accounting systems a plus
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Proficient with Excel
VBA experience a plus
Must be willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team, in an open floor environment
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
