This position is located in the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery, Program Implementation and Information Division, Information Collection and Analysis Branch in Arlington, VA.

Serve as Team Member for the design, development and implementation of software releases and upgrades for one of EPA's national information systems, RCRA Info, which supports the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
Perform Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) duties in support of RCRA Info Data entry and reporting systems, including new releases and software patches.
Program in SQL and JAVA to create new application software and maintain or upgrade existing application software.
Provide assistance to non-technical personnel from the national user community in the retrieval and use of data contained within the national system.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. If you are selected, you will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Form prior to your first day of employment and annually thereafter.
This position is designated as Moderate Risk and requires a background investigation. We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you need to have at least one year of full time experience defined as designing, developing and implementing software releases; performing software development life-cycle dutie and working with SQL and JAVA.
OR
A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in an academic discipline related to this position.

Skill in the use of SQL and JAVA programming languages.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
