The City of Chanute is now accepting applications for a full time Firefighter. Minimum age requirement is 18, must have a valid Kansas drivers license with the ability to obtain a Class-B non-commercial drivers license, high school graduate or equivalent, excellent health, strong leadership skills, U.S. citizen, no criminal record and have ability to convey public service attitude. Starting wage is $11.72 per hour. Firefighter I and current (within 1 year) Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT) certification are preferred.
