Carilion Clinic, a regional and national destination for the delivery of quality healthcare is seeking a Senior Director of Nursing for Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRV). CNRV is the leading healthcare provider in the New River Valley, and is comprised of a modern facility with a Level III Trauma emergency department, two heliports, the Carilion Clinic Saint Albans Hospital for Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine, and a Heart & Vascular Center. Our Maternity Unit is a 5-Star award winner six years running, and CNRV has an A grade from the Leapfrog Group for Hospital Safety.
The Operating Room Manager support Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and quality and provides a positive, rewarding and service-oriented work environment that supports high-quality patient-centered care, an exceedingly competent and engaged staff and the achievement of fiscal, scorecard and process improvement goals and objectives. The Operating Room Manager is responsible for daily operations of Central Sterile Supply, Anesthesia and Operating Room Services, and monitors and implements new health care services and performance improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience:
? At least 3 years supervisory experience, healthcare setting preferred
? Experience preferred in Lean Healthcare, Performance/Process Improvement, and Leadership Development experience preferred. Change Management experience with expertise in Organizational Culture preferred.
? Central Supply Services, Anesthesia and Operating Room Services supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Licensure and/or certification in medical or management related discipline
Other Minimum
Qualifications: Demonstrated excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority setting, organizational and work competency skills.
