POSITION Overview:
INFICON has an immediate job opening for a Mechanical Technician to perform safe and reliable mechanical assembly for the Production Star and CPM department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in assembling vacuum products.
Applicants must be collaborative and have communication skills, organization skills and problem-solving skills. Applicants must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and e-mail. Working knowledge of SAP preferred. Must be able to interface professionally and effectively with all levels of management, individual contributors and team members. JOB
Responsibilities:
Assemble precision mechanical, electromechanical, in-vacuum products in accordance with Engineering drawings and Operational Method Sheets, using fixtures and alignment tools as required.
Perform verification testing on products produced, ensuring instruments meet specifications called for in Engineering Procedures and Operational Method Sheets.
Record test results and unit histories into various spread sheets.
Assemble, repair/rework units efficiently with minimum supervision.
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
AAS degree in Mechanical Technology.
Six months of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good mechanical aptitude, excellent vision and manual dexterity.
Must be comfortable using PCs and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Will be expected to interface effectively with superivsors and work in a team based environment.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Understanding of ultra high vacuum (UHV) equipment preferred.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
