Senior Application Engineer
Department: Clinical Systems - IT

Shift: Day shift w/occasional evenings

Job Details:
Provides technical support for the inpatient IT team and leads others to support existing IT application environments and evaluate and test new applications to ensure requirements are met in a way that continuously improves customer satisfaction. Independently supports, enhances, maintains and develops IT application systems technical infrastructure. Leading a team or working independently will identify and implement efficient and effective IT solutions based on inherent knowledge of IT technologies.
Primary responsibilities include software support and troubleshooting, building and maintaining data export projects, and developing other data projects as needed.
Excellent customer service skills are required.
Preferred skills include:
Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2012
Developing SSIS packages
Working with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
Building SQL stored procedures and triggers.
HL7 Interfacing
Project Management
Qualifications/Competencies
Bachelor's degree, Computer Science or related degree preferred
10 years or more experience preferred
Other Special Skills -Required
Passion for customer service
Proven track record of providing self-directed technical application support
Independent learner and able to reverse engineer relevant solutions
Robust experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
Proven ability to quickly learn new programming languages
Advanced knowledge of computer hardware platforms and network architectures
Advanced knowledge of RDBMS
Detail oriented, with excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Comfortable working in a multi-tasking role interfacing with various levels of the organization, including senior management
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications
