Position Summary
The ESS and CCTV network maintenance shall include the sustainment and maintenance of all ESS and CCTV network infrastructure from base-provided communication infrastructure demarcation point, to all ESS and CCTV downstream devices as well as the contractor leased lines. Shall assist in the troubleshooting of failures due to issues caused by others. Responsible for providing a variety of complex technical support for maintenance support, repairs, modification, equipment setup and testing, and formal/informal training of customer personnel. May provide work leadership and technical assistance to lower level technicians and/or with formal/informal training of customer personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
ESS Network Maintenance activities will be performed as follows:
Preventative Maintenance
Preventative Maintenance (PM) shall be performed, which is defined as the scheduled care and servicing for the purpose of maintaining equipment and systems in a satisfactory condition. PM provides for the systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects
Emergency Corrective Maintenance
Emergency Corrective Maintenance (ECM) shall be performed, which is defined as non-scheduled maintenance activities performed to restore the operational reliability of a system or equipment whereby the failure causes undo risk to personnel or property, and to the point that the system is incapable of providing the minimum required electronic security measures for the space being protected. All work requests designated as ECM by an authorized USAG representative shall be treated as ECM work and shall receive a priority response.
Non-Emergency Corrective Maintenance
Non-Emergency Corrective Maintenance (NECM) shall be performed, which is defined as non- scheduled maintenance activities performed to restore the operational reliability of a system or equipment whereby the failure does not cause undue risk to personnel or property, but may cause the system to operate in an inconvenient or degraded manner.
Responsible for providing a variety of complex technical support for maintenance support, repairs, modification, equipment setup and testing, and formal/informal training of customer personnel
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues by utilizing drawings and technical documentation
Conduct repairs and/or modifications using a variety of hand tools and test equipment
Assist in demonstrating setup and adjustment of complex equipment for potential users or operators
Complete appropriate written documentation and feedback for onsite service and installations
Deliver technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalism
Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customer's needs
Analyzes test results related to the design and test objectives and adjusts equipment to bring within specifications
Records these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods
May provide work leadership and technical assistance to lower level technicians and/or with formal/informal training of customer personnel
Possess great customer service skills
Ability to work variable shifts and up to 12 hour shifts to perform necessary testing
Exhibit mature, independent judgment and communicate effectively

Basic Qualifications (include education and years of experience required)
Education: High school diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from technical school, or class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making/repairing connectors
Experience: Eight (8) years of practical experience to include electronics repair, maintenance, installation and checkout. Two (2) years of experience to include supervision and shop practices. Three (3) years of practical experience to include electronics repair and installation, and six (6) years of experience with systems engineering projects.
NOTE: Experience may be concurrent.
Lenel, Pelco, Hirsch, DMP or Kaba Mas CDX-09/10 certification required.
Active DoD security clearance at a minimum of Secret level or higher
Methodical documentation skills with the ability to assist in accurate, complete and timely technical service reports
Proficient in the use of a laptop computer and related software
Must be able and willing to travel
Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
Excellent teambuilding and leadership skills.
Computer proficiency with MS Office application experience, including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint; detailed understanding and use of database technologies helpful

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
