Job Description
Work collaboratively with our insurance business units to define and develop custom reports and dashboards that deliver real-time information to support the evolving business. Create and customize SSRS reports. Lead data extraction from our policy administration system and the development of the reporting data marts.
Job Requirements
Work closely with stakeholders from different business units to determine reporting and application requirements, perform analysis to create statement of work and provide time estimates
Design layout of SSRS reports and determine the best way to present data to end users
Develop SSRS reports and dashboards using Microsoft Reporting Services platform (SSRS), Microsoft SQL, MS Excel, pivot tables and other tools
Provide technical support for SSRS business applications. Assist with testing and quality assurance activities with data extracts, research and analysis
Prepare required documentation for system support and end users and provide end-user training for the reports and analytical solutions
Maintain an awareness and understanding of technological advances; provide continuous research and assessment of new resources and technology available
Skills and expertise
5
years' experience with Microsoft SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, and Stored Procedures preferably in the insurance industry.
Understand concepts associated with premium accounting, insurance and insurance transaction analytics to support the underwriting and finance teams with various reporting and analytical needs
Highly desirable is experience with policy administration, billing, claims or financial data
The applicant must have strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal instruction and supervision
Possess strong non-technical skills including, but not limited to, problem-solving, work prioritization, communication, self-direction, and time management.
Experience with core web development technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to respect others at all times and communicate appropriately with persons possessing a different level of technology aptitude and experience.
Knowledge of standards and best practices used in conjunction with developing reports and dashboards using SSRS
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Computer Science or related studies
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
