This role provides technical support and reliability improvements to ongoing plant operations in the areas of Process Control and Power Distribution in a chemical process plant.

Typical responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Engineer include:
Provide technical support with regard to power distribution systems and motor controls
Assist with equipment and process troubleshooting
Ability to learn and specify new electrical systems, schemes and solutions
Serve as engineering project manager capital projects
Justify, specify, obtain approval, procure and install processes and equipment
Work with equipment suppliers, vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance and project group goals are met
Support project engineers in developing electrical and control systems
Analyze, develop and recommend design changes/upgrades to existing equipment to improve reliability and meet production requirements
Improve productivity by leading electrical distribution and controls related projects
Update P&IDs of plant processes when new equipment is installed
Work effectively with engineering, maintenance and production teams across all levels of the plant organization
Assist in developing policies, standards, preventive maintenance procedures and tasks and operating procedures
Participate in and help coordinate plant shutdowns/outages
Ensure new installations and maintenance activities meet applicable code requirements and Olin procedures
Support plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals, including continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiatives
Occasional travel required
Requirements for successful candidates include:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from a College or University accredited by the US Dept. of Education.
Minimum of five years of experience in an electrical engineer position required. Power Distribution experience strongly preferred. Experience in a manufacturing process environment preferred, ideally a chemical manufacturer or refinery.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Project required. SAP and AutoCAD experience preferred.
Familiarity with Honeywell, Allen Bradley, PLCs, HMI and SQL Server database or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to interface and disseminate technical information across functions to achieve results at a plant level. Demonstrated ability to lead team efforts to obtain goals.
Demonstrated ability to identify problems and develop solutions for complex issues.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - verbal and written.
Knowledge of ISO9001/RC14001 standards and procedures preferred
Knowledge of NFC and NFPA electrical codes
