Introduction We are currently hiring aTransaction Specialistfor our location inSt. Joseph, Missouri.
Duties and Responsibilities You will have the opportunity to serve as the primary function of processing most teller transactions including but not limited to: check cashing, deposits, consigned items, savings bonds, and loan payments. Generate sales referrals by educating or interesting customers in different UMB products. Represent UMB in a manner that maintains and expands business relationships and enhances the Bank's image, contributing to its growth. Provide excellent customer service in all customer interactions. You will also be responsible for processing a few select customer maintenance transactions that require a minimum amount of time. This role will be proactive at introducing clients to their Client Relationship Manager when appropriate while partnering with internal partners such as, Small Business Officers, Mortgage Officers, Investment Wealth Management, and Commercial partners. Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information Schedule can be any where from :
M-Th 7:45-5:45, Fri 7:45-6:15 and Saturday 7:45-12:45
Minimum Requirements -High School diploma or equivalent.
-Good written and verbal communication skills required
-1 year previous customer service or retail experience
Preferred Requirements -Cash handling, banking or Teller experience.
-6 months experience as a UMB Teller II
Minimum Knowledge and Skills -Able to learn UMB product knowledge to suggest products & services to customers and make sales referrals.
-Able to learn and follow policy, procedures, & bank regulations.
-Basic math and accounting skills.
-Strong verbal and written communications skills.
-Ability to operate general office equipment, such as: telephone, fax machine, copying machine, currency counter, 10 key adding machine, etc.
-Knowledge of debits and credits.
-Demonstrates good work habits, attendance and follows policies and procedures.
-Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills -Proven customer service.
-Sales referrals.
-Process customer transactions.
-Balance cash drawer.
-Demonstrated communication.
-Mastery of Teller role
