The JDE Developer/Analyst will work with the Catalent business community and the IT organization to interpret business requirements and define technical solutions. Work with team members to define time tables and project plans. Document, code, test, and implement technical solutions. Manage development according to the Catalent project life cycle, inclusive of communication, risk and issue identification, tracking and resolution.

o Product owner for all JD Edwards Software development and enhancement activities.
Key Responsibilities (90%)
The JDE Developer/Analyst will be responsible the following:
o Interpret business requirements and define technical alternatives, tools, and platforms.
o Work with other team members to define time tables and project plans.
o Code, test, implement, and document technical solutions.
o Participate with the business team and IT staff as appropriate in the design of solutions.
o Collaborate with other technical areas to integrate across tiers, platforms, and responsibilities.
o Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved.
o Ensures compliance with all Computer Systems Validation and Quality policies and procedures, ethics and security requirements.
o Ensures designated systems comply with appropriate Legal and Fiduciary policies and practices.
o Available to be on-call for after-hours support and system maintenance activities.
o Coordinates with Business Analysts to ensure feasibility and applicability of overall solution
Additional Activities Performed as Necessary (10%)
o Mentors team resources as assigned regarding team or project leadership topics.
o Identifies new tools and technologies to improve development capabilities.
o Identifies opportunities for process improvement, leveraging Operational Excellence where possible.
o Other tasks as assigned.
4-year degree in MIS/Computer Science preferred. This requirement can be met by a combination of education (4 year degree in another discipline) and relevant work experience.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements
This position requires 3 - 5 years of hands-on application development experience in the use of J.D. Edwards OneWorld/EnterpriseO ne development tools. Candidates must have good working knowledge of finance and / or supply chain solutions. The resource must demonstrate the ability to work with a cross functional team consisting of contractors, IT employees and business representatives.
This resource must possess the following skills:
o Full life-cycle software development methodology experience
o Knowledge of JDE EnterpriseOne (E1) development tools with version 8.12 or higher
o Knowledge of J.D. Edwards Xe development tools including Enterprise Report Writer is a plus
o Knowledge of Optio &/or Transform is a plus
o Knowledge of C, C , SQL, Java and .net
o Working knowledge of SQL and ETL tool (Informatica) is a plus
o Experience with Runtime and resource performance tuning is a plus
o Knowledge of webMethods is a plus
o Basic Unix and Windows operating system skills
o Experience and understanding of computer systems validation is a plus
o Functional knowledge of manufacturing, finance, distribution, and procurement functions is a plus
o Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills
o Excellent team player, but able to work independently
o Experience working directly with business end-users
