About the Position:

This is a Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) position with duty station at Fort Leonard Wood, located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers over 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County. Bordering the installation to the north are the towns of Waynesville/St. Roberts and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive to the east along I-44, and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the west of Fort Leonard Wood.

Serves as a motor vehicle operator, mobile equipment servicer, and oil analysis sampler.
Operates and performs operator maintenance on diesel-powered truck tractor with trailer or semi-trailer coupled by use of a turntable or pintle hook.
Operates a tractor-mounted winch to load and unload disabled equipment on and off trailer.
Completes log book and/or trip tickets.
Operates various types of construction and engineer equipment including but not limited to Bulldozers, Graders, Scrapers, Cranes, Forklifts, Backhoes, Family Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), and High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMV).
Services a wide variety of automotive, heavy mobile, engineering, construction and powered support equipment.
Removes, repairs and replaces tires of all sizes.
Takes oil samples in accordance with Oil Analysis Program.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118-C) located at /#url=WG-4700. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by relevance, scope and quality of all experience and training.

Physical Effort : May exert moderate to heavy physical effort in climbing on tractors to hook up service lines, and in winching equipment aboard trailer and securing the load. Muscular effort in also required in changing tires and wheels and may have to lift over 100 pounds.
Working Conditions : Works mostly outside and operates vehicles in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment throughout a government installation. Exposure to dirt and fumes and to possibility of cuts, bruises and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or from falling objects when loading and unloading the vehicle.

Position requires a valid state driver's license.
Position requires the completion of an Army approved Accident Avoidance Course within 6 months of employment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
