Position Opening in Georgetown Processing Plant
QA DC TECH NS
The Georgetown Complex has an opening for a QA/DC TECH NS and is pursuing qualified candidates for immediate placement.
Provides QA oversight in a larger work area which would include operational performance as well as quality performance. Ability to step in as relief in the event of technician openings or absences. Reports to the supervisor of the area any issues not resolved.
Responsibilities/Duties: Grades product according to written standards. Product is graded visually, although an interpretation of borderline calls must be justifiable record information obtained on grading records or computer data input devices
Identify when product graded deviates from normal ranges and communicate this information to supervision, QA and Operations. Retain product and oversee the disposition of the product to bring it into compliance.
Conduct quality measurements as needed to assess process capability, as directed by QA Management
Must be trained and proficient with the facility's HACCP plan; Good Manufacturing Practices and Sanitation Operation Procedures and implements Corrective Actions if deviations are observed.
Must be familiar with deviations resulting in the stressing of product which could reduce shelf life of affected product.
Must continually evaluate potential for foreign material contamination while in assigned work areas.
Required Qualifications
Must have six months of service in their present job.
Have two or less unexcused absences and zero active disciplinary warnings
Lifting up to 60lbs
Willing and able to work in wet and extreme cold and hot conditions
Willing and able to work around various cleaning chemicals
Willing and able to work weekends
