PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Solutions Analyst acts under general supervision as a consultant and partner with the business community and GBS&T project teams and business partners to elicit, clarify and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which application and solutions are developed. The SA is responsible for defining (and/or redefining) business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services or optimized business processes. The SA is an active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle and will be required to work closely with a variety of internal and external business partners (usually with guidance from senior project team members) to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented and met. The SA generally works on projects of low to medium complexity.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops a requirements work plan, with assistance from senior team members for low to medium complexity work or projects. Identifies activities, techniques, dependencies, deliverables and stakeholders in order to manage the requirements effort, manages and refines the requirements work plan. Provides status updates and discuss issues to the project lead/ and team to develop estimates for solutions analysts tasks. Updates requirements specification documentation throughout the development life cycle to reflect requirements and design changes. Includes developer in requirements analysis and participates in design reviews to ensure the design supports and meets user requirements.
Independently works with subject matter experts on low complexity work/projects to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements. Validates requirements elicited match the stakeholder's understanding of the problem and stakeholder needs.
The incumbent will assist in the development of deliverables for larger, more complex projects. Assists in planning and conducting meetings including, but not limited to: requirements elicitation sessions, requirements validation, documentation review meetings, design reviews, etc. Obtains approval of requirements and works with project lead to identify issues that emerge during elicitation and analysis
Develops and evaluates alternative solutions and identifies a recommended solution with assistance from more experienced project team members. With assistance from project lead, facilitates the solution selection and decision making process in conjunction with the business owner. Works closely with Project Lead (PL) or more experienced solutions analyst to strategize on how to gain project team consensus for the most viable option, assess related business process changes and impact to users/clients. Engages in knowledge transfer with Solutions analysts and project team members.
Writes and executes system test cases to validate the solution/application meets the requirements. May also be responsible for managing the execution of some or all phases of testing initiatives for small to medium sized system implementations, enhancements and fixes. Coordinates and/or assists in User Acceptance Testing initiatives. Coordinates knowledge transfer with end-user(s) and Application Management May be required to prepare and provide end user training and/or write procedure changes. Supports initial implementation of significant system changes
Continues to educate self on business to continue to create efficiencies and/or mitigate risk via people/process/technology changes for the business. Continues to educate self analytically and/or technically to keep up to date and ensure their ability to work on a variety of solutions for the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred and 1 year of related work experience preferred
Prior relevant industry experience preferred
Some SQL Knowledge preferred
One to three years relevant experience working with solutions lifecycle development methodology preferred
Familiarity with business processes related to business channel supported preferred
Required
College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or Associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or
High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years related work experience
Ability to translate functional business requirements into technical specifications
Demonstrated ability to develop multiple solutions to moderately complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and project team
Ability to apply acquired knowledge from prior experience effectively in new situations (low to medium complexity)
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Must be able to meet with clients in order to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and requirements, work closely with developers and testers in the fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with others in team environment
Attention to detail
Minimum of one year of demonstrated successful use of major components of the solution delivery methodology or demonstrated knowledge of business processes related to the business channel supported
Ability to develop and manage effective relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understands relationship between people, processes and technology within an organization to create a feasible solution on projects of low to medium complexity
Knowledge of and experience with testing concepts and skilled in formulating test strategies, managing, and executing system testing initiatives
Process oriented, logical thinker
Skilled in the use of Visio or other process or flow chart tool
Knowledge of relational databases
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
