Solectria Renewables, LLC seeks Project Manager-Advanced Inverters (Lawrence, MA):
Summary: As a member of the Engineering Department, the Project Manager-Advanced Inverters will be responsible for the technical aspects of Solectrias business. The Project Manager-Advanced Inverters will design, validate, and test new products.
Job Description:
Project Manager-Advanced Inverters to manage inverter engineering projects for DOE FOA 479 (Phase 2 and 3); CPUC Rule 21 updates; and, OEM string inverter NPI. Duties include:
-Manage project schedules and coordinate technical specifications with production management;
-Resource planning and budgeting, and monitoring financial aspects of projects and contracts to ensure adherence to established goals and budgets;
-Serve as point of contact for all respective projects and review progress of development
activities;
-Provide technical input for ongoing smart inverter function development projects;
-Communicate with top management on schedule tracking and technical risk;
-Perform design reviews and manage PDP registers;
-Interface with key customers during and after Original Equipment Manufacturer product launch;
-Interface with EPRI, NREL and utility partners under DOE FOA 479; provide recurring project reports;
-Interface with CPUC rule 21 stakeholders and represent the companys interest at Rule 21 meetings; communicate Rule 21 requirements to the company as they change.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in power electronics technology engineering. Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include the following:
-3 years of experience with both AC and DC voltages in the 600V-1000Vrange;
-3 years of experience providing engineering support and design input within inverter manufacturing environment
-2 years of project management experience;
-2 years of experience providing engineering support for photovoltaic plants larger than 10MW;
-2 years of experience providing engineering support for photovoltaic projects with advanced inverter functionality such as Voltage Regulation and Power Factor Control.
-2 years of experience interfacing with Electrical Utilities on power inverter technology solutions;
-1 year of experience in bringing new inverter products to market; and,
-1 year of experience working with regulatory bodies on UL1741 and IEEE1547 standards.
