Process Maintenance Technician

Summary: The position will involve start-up, normal operation, monitoring and shutdown of utility systems and equipment; troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair work of all facilities systems. Performs assigned mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or utility related work tasks. Position will require 2nd shift presence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Knowledge and ability to operate, analyze problems, and repair process PLC controllers;
Experience with instrument calibration;
Working knowledge and repair experience with pneumatic and electronic controls & systems;
Electrical background and the ability to work with low and medium voltages;
Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs).
Maintains training records.
Knowledge and Specialized Skills:
Solid working knowledge of process controls, VFD drives, and pumps;
Working knowledge of functional area discipline (calibration, process equipment) and automated control systems;
Strong written and documentation skills;
Ability to read and understand process & instrument drawings;
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software;
Good communication skills.
Experience and Required Skills:
Education and
Experience:
Requires AAS in Engineering, Construction, or Maintenance technologies with 2
years of experience in a similar position or 5
years of field experience in the desired functional area.
Equipment:
Hand tools, test instrumentation, and electric power tools;
Computer and general office equipment.
