Position
Summary:
Requirement specification and migration of 32 bit application and sub-components to 64 bit environment. Designing and creating installations to support both platforms. Work with a team and individually to meet project goals and deliver innovative, quality software solutions.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
Design (in accord with program specifications) and develop computer programs using C#, C++, Object Oriented Methodologies and other high level languages to automate analytical instruments and analyze collected data
Apply commonly-used software development concepts, practices, design patterns and procedures
Coordinate project management tasks with Software Engineering Manager
Define software project schedules, monitor progress, and submit weekly project status reports
Coordinate all work with Software Engineering Manager
Excellent communication skills is a must
Develop simple solutions for complex problems.
Perform all above duties in accordance with applicable ISO 9000 directives and company policy
Required Knowledge Skills and
Experience:
BS and/or MS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field
At least eight years of experience in software application development using C#, C/C++/OOP, Borland & Pascal
Strong experience with migrating systems to 64 bit environment
Proficient in Agile development including experience with automated testing (Test Driven Development, Mocking, Unit/Functional/Integration)
Expert knowledge in .NET framework, WCF and WPF
Expert knowledge of Visual Studio 2010/2012 development environment
Knowledge of InstallShield 2010/2012.
Able to create low level device drivers as well as strong background in high level GUI development
Detailed knowledge of controlling hardware devices via APIs
Experience or academic background in the physical and material sciences is desirable
Must be an expert in the uses of Share Point, and TFS Reporting Services
Desired Knowledge Skills and
Experience:
Experience or academic background in the physical sciences is desirable
Experience working with CMMI, Six Sigma, or other quality process models
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
