## External Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Set-up and operate machines to ensure production of quality machined parts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Program and set-up production machine parts, speeds and feeds, machining processes, etc.
Set-up multiple fixturing
Produce and inspect quality parts.
Train machine operators to manufacture quality parts. Inspect machine parts, edit programs, etc.
Perform daily preventative maintenance on machines.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain tooling for CNC department: cutters, drills, special tools collects, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
## Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Ability to program and set-up machined parts
Ability to use all inspection equipment, caliper, mice, indicators, micrometer etc. and inspect to blue print dimensions
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
Possess computer skills necessary to operate machines.
Technical school certificate in machining and two years related experience or equivalent.
High school graduate or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift up to 30lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Walk, stand, overhead reaching, climb stairs and grasp tools as necessary.
Submit to a visual acuity exam.
